Yesterday I had both the honor and pleasure of attending the kind of event that I could never tire of.
2015 Trailblazing Women Awards!!!!
This event was FANTASTIC!! Why? Because it was filled to the brim with smiling, encouraging, congratulating faces. The vibe was warm and simply beautiful. There were people there of all ages too. I think it's safe to say that there were faces that ranged from 8 to 80+ and everyone seemed to have the greatest time!

Did I mention that all who were honored are
BUSINESS OWNERS AND BLACK?!!
In one building, business owners, movers and shakers as far as the eye can see. It was moving. I could have stayed there forever.
I can't front though. Let's be clear, initially I was there for one reason and one reason only and that was to CELEBRATE MY SISTER TIA LATRELL & her business LATRELL FLOWERS!! YAAAAAAAAY!!
I am sooooo HAPPY and soooo very PROUD of TIA and all that she's accomplished to make this moment possible. It took nothing short of hard work, dedication, resilience, long hours, sacrifice and passion to make all the pieces to her artsy puzzle come together.
I was beyond inspired to be surrounded with others who too are passionate, driven and against all odds making it happen. THAT'S MY WORLD...I was truly at home.
SHOUT OUT to Dr. Mel Butler and his TEAM for such a GREAT and NECESSARY EVENT honoring those with dignity, grace, fire and passion who give our community such a positive voice and who serve as a living option for all the wonderful things we can choose to become.
Tia Latrell, you know how I feel about you and your journey...
