ARE YOU AN UNSTOPPABLE WOMAN?!!!!! OF COURSE YOU ARE! PERFECT...READ ON!!!!!

Ok, in the words of the lyrically gifted RAKIM..."It's been a long time, I shouldn't have left you"...
I've been living life and loving life and being more daring and adventurous per a promise I made to myself and it's been fantastic. As you guys may know I am  #ThePrivateExtrovert so I'm not one to document/share every second of my goings on for the masses. LOL #ToEachHerOwn

What I can and will tell you is that I've really been inspired lately. I've been searching too, not necessarily knowing what I was looking for exactly but just in search of something that would compliment me, understand me, celebrate all the things that I deem important and wouldn't you know it?!!! I found it! Yup, as I let my fingers do the walking all over the internet at a gazillion miles per hour I came across an organization called The Unstoppable Woman.

I, in a flash, slammed on my internet brakes and was immediately intrigued. I mean, it was clear. No riddles. It said in bold print THE UNSTOPPABLE WOMAN and I said "That's me!" Wherever this is, I must go there to see, meet and greet others like me! Without delay I researched with hopeful enthusiasm even further and found out more about this foundation. In doing so I found out they were on tour and I made it my business to be in the building.

The event was from 9-5. Great location, free parking and the atmosphere was lovely. There were quality vendors(Yes, I went shopping...HAD TO!), there was a restaurant in the building(Took full advantage) and there were a multitude of speakers from all around the world(Took the opportunity to connect with more than a few)  and that's just the tip of the iceberg.

I have a story to share...like to hear it? Here it goes!!!!!

Initially when I discovered this organization and its current tour it peaked my curiosity but I wasn't sure I would attend, not because I doubted whether or not the event would be great but due to juggling many tasks, many events and yes, juggling my emotions too...I wasn't quite sure I'd be up for going but I hate being lukewarm in decision making. I thought to myself in the words of Joe Clark from 'Lean on Me' "Don't screw around with it, do it expeditiously"! LOL...I made the decision right then that I would be in attendance. #MakeItHappen

I arrived at about 10:30am...Came into a very quiet hotel lobby and wondered if I was in the wrong place. Being as though I had never attended this particular event before I had envisioned what it would be like and in my mind I saw tons of Unstoppable Women as far as the eye could see with incredible energy and enthusiasm but instead was greeted by a near empty lobby with only 2 patrons and a front desk attendant who knew nothing of the event.

I was cool, calm and collected as I waited for the attendant to find out where the conference was being held. While I was doing that, a man noticed my shoes that looked as if I was walking in a field of red flowers and asked "You mind if I take a picture of your shoes?" I said "If it pleases you...lol." and he proceeded to take the photo with his super cool Nikon camera. Showed me the image to make sure that I approved and I loved it! Had a little polite small talk and in a flash the attendant came back and directed me to make a left at the nearest hallway and the conference room would be on my right. I thanked her and urged both her and the patrons to have a great day.

Thinking to myself "That's what ya get for being late but you're here now. Let's go get rejuvenated!" and with a sense of urgency I was on my way. As I approached the smiling greeters I whispered "How are you?", quickly got my wristband and entered the conference.

I was pleasantly surprised at the set up, the vendors and definitely by all the unstoppable women in attendance. Although all the women were unmistakably diverse there was one recurring quality that I noticed throughout the conference as it pertained to the speakers and that was their confidence. They each stood self assured and proud as they delivered their distinct messages. One spoke about finance, another about self love, another on healthy life as a vegan, another about being aware and in touch with the god in us and they were just getting warmed up. It was powerful.

I enjoyed the Q&A portions after each speakers presentation because it gave you a bird's eye view of the authenticity of each women's desire to be of help to their fellow sister. That allowed everyone to feel at ease and let down their  hair so to speak. We cheered and applauded each other. We laughed out loud. We hugged and encouraged each other too. It was beautiful.

I encourage everyone to support/attend The Unstoppable Woman Conference. We need it! It is important to have a positive, uplifting safe haven for us to go to and be understood, nurtured, enlightened and empowered. I found a great thing and I feel it is my UNSTOPPABLE WOMAN duty to share it with as many women as I can.

Whether you're already uncompromisingly confident/standing ten feet tall or you're currently broken and longing for the day that you too will be able to truthfully declare yourself as confident and #UNSTOPPABLE this is the place to be.

Hope you choose to put this much needed event on your calendar! See you there!
