SOMETHING TO THINK ABOUT...

I came across this "FOOD FOR THOUGHT" and I was intrigued by it. Thought I'd pass it along and see if my doing so will help someone else.

AND IT GOES A LITTLE SOMETHING LIKE THIS!!!!!!!!!!!!!! lol
******************************************************************************************************
Thoughts of Jake Schuster-

These notions, once embraced, makes life infinitely easier and more fulfilling. Absorb them, criticize them, consider them. Enjoy!

1) What Am I Here For?

Save the broad 'what is the meaning of life?' brainstorms for another time, but sit yourself down  and consider what you want to do in life, what makes you smile, what you get excited about, and what you are good at. You don't have to have a singular goal, career path or set plan, but you should be taking actions which reflect them!

2) Things Take Time.

Diets don't work (for many reasons, but primarily) because they are short-term solutions for a long term problem.

You aren't a superstar in your field yet because you haven't earned it, and it won't happen tomorrow just because you want it really badly either.

You aren't ripped because you've only been working out hard for a few weeks or months.

This notion applies to everything in life. Stop rushing, Just keep working, it'll happen!

3) Good People Mean Everything.

It's not a coincidence that a common denominator among successful people is that they are surrounded by high quality people. Good people make good things happen and make you happy. When you meet good people, do things which earn their loyalty (provide value!) and bring them close. Value good people and they are likely to value you back. Nothing will spur you on and make you happier than being surrounded by--in all corners of your life--folks who push you, put up with you, make you laugh, back you up, look out for your best interests and bring value into your life.

4) Environment Dictates Rate of Progress.

People are one important aspect of environment...but there are a whole lot of other factors making up your environment which can have a huge impact on life. It can range from junk food to what kind of space you work in or the weather of the city you live in. This stuff impacts you and you can change it in your favor!

5) There Isn't One Answer.

THIS person isn't the only one I'm ever going to like and get along with and this isn't the only place I want to live for the next couple of years. I'm all for finding something you want and muscling your way towards accomplishing it--that repeated ability is probably one of my greatest qualities--but don't get tunnel vision, and be open to different and unexpected ideas!

6) You Don't Have a Clue...So Never Stop Learning.

The 'answers' you have now will change. The things you think matter now won't (as much) soon.  If you think you know everything or have found THE answer, you're in trouble. This is a good thing. Don't be reckless with your cluelessness, but embrace it and always push for more understanding, more skills, more ability.

7) Do>Need-->More Support and Affirmation Than Ever.

People are either working for you or against you. Which and when is determined by how much value you provide them.

8) Everyone Struggles. Laugh It Off.

Everyone wishes they were fitter. Everyone wishes they presented themselves a bit more sharply. Everyone wants the approval of others. Everyone is a bit tired and stressed. Understand and embrace this, and respond to it by smiling and laughing. A lot. It's so easy to be intimidated by people or find them aloof, but everyone has got a shield up in one form or another. Don't let that put you off and don't think you're the only one with the above insecurities. Openly laugh and smile about how your hair is messed up this morning. It's OK and as soon as you adopt that attitude, things get a lot easier!

9) This Moment Is Not As Important As You Think It Is

This interview is not the only chance you'll ever get to make an impression on anyone. This argument is not the be-all-end-all throw down. Letting stuff go is powerful. Learn it!

10) You Have Control

How good you are at your job, you have control over. How hard you work out, you have control over. How kind you are to people and how much value you bring to relationships, you have control over. Don't blame others, don't play the victim, you are the master of your fate and the captain of your soul.
