You remember Rory don't ya?!! What am I saying? Of course you do!! Just in case you need a refresher course on this talented being refer to the link below:
Be a Lion is a stage play inspired by William F. Brown's "The Wiz" an adventure, comedy, romance and drama wrapped in one.  Rory grew up loving the characters from the cinema classic, The Wizard of Oz, and like so many others Rory embraced their ethnic counterparts in the 1976 film, “The Wiz”.
Rory speaks to his Be a Lion journey this way:
It wasn’t until I was older that I came to understand and was fascinated by all of the racial and socioeconomic undertones that “The Wiz” portrayed.
I began to wonder, “What happened? After Dorothy clicked her heels three times and returned home, they were left with a lawless Oz and the imminent question, ‘What do we do now?’
Every good adventure deserves a second life, so I completed BE A LION, a spinoff that depicts what became of the Lion, the Scarecrow and the Tin Man.
Examining the character of the Lion in particular, I could not help but draw parallels between the Lion and the role played by the common man in America, so the underlying message in this story exploresthis common thread, as Lion begins to discover who he really is, and what he is called to be.
With the Wiz gone, the Lion (King of the Jungle) is given the task to become the next leader of Oz.
Naturally, such a task cannot be achieved without the help of his friends. A brand new set of richly-developed characters blend in perfectly with the ones we’ve grown to love, champion and root for. Lion has befriended an African tree mouse; a loyal sidekick named Miles, as well as a feisty, Rastafarian lioness love interest, who tags along with the two on this journey.
Lion’s mission is threatened by an ugly, evil and devious little witch named Damneesha, the daughter of the late, wicked witch Evileene. Damneeshaseeks to avenge her mother’s death at all costs.
Dorothy returns to Oz, and once again the unlikely team of heroes must ease on down a road filled with trials and tribulations in order to dethrone a second-generation wicked witch and bring Oz back to a place of peace.
Curious? Intrigued? Can't wait?!! Thought so...what are you waiting for?!!!!!!!
